NissAN Comes Out With A 100% Electric Car!

 The Nissan Leaf (also formatted "LEAF" as a backronym for Leading, Environmentally friendly, Affordable, Family car) is a five-door mid-size hatchback electric car manufactured by Nissan and introduced in Japan and the U.S. in December 2010. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency determined the range to be 117 kilometres (73 mi), with an energy consumption of 765 kJ/km (34 kWh per 100 miles) and rated the Leaf's combined fuel economy at 99 miles per gallon gasoline equivalent.

Deliveries to individual customers began in the United States and Japan in December 2010, in Ireland in February 2011 and in the U.K. in March. Deliveries to corporate customers began in Portugal in December 2010 and sales to individuals are expected to begin in early 2011.

Sales are scheduled to begin in the Netherlands in June 2011, with global market availability planned for 2012.

According to Nissan initial availability is limited in quantities and to select markets and only for customers who made online reservations. The availability will be increased by the second quarter of 2011 with U.S. production planned for 2012

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was fined $100,000 by the NBA on Wednesday and criticized by numerous gay-rights groups for directing an anti-gay slur at referee Bennie Adams during a game Tuesday against San Antonio.
Bryant was irritated after he was called for an offensive foul and received his 15th technical of the season during the game. He punched a chair on the Lakers' bench before he sat, threw down a towel and yelled "Bennie!" before muttering a curse word followed by the word "faggot."

Responding to a Gallup Poll that said 8 out of 10 Blacks support Barack Obama, potential presidential candidate Donald Trump  said he was "troubled" by how many blacks support Obama.  But Trump hopes to get support from the community because he says he has "great relationships" with "The Blacks" himself.  Get the deets on his foolywang statement inside....
You almost have to admire Donald Trump for his ability to be so cocky and headstrong while he is walking around with that offensive combover, but his recent cocky comments have raised eyebrows.
In addition to making snide remarks about President Obama's birth certificate and suggesting he isn't American (blank stare) Donald Trump still hopes to pull support from Black Americans.  He said on Talk 1300 AM radio in Albany, N.Y. today:

"I have a great relationship with the blacks. I've always had a great relationship with the blacks."

Now I am not sure how well "The Blacks" do at Trump Organization and I haven't seen him donating checks to the UNCF or anything, but the use of "the" and "Blacks" together in order to lump us all together startles me.  And if you were that cool with "The Blacks", you would know not to say ish like "THE BLACKS."
Maybe The Donald fails to realize him trying to find a man for Toccara Jones and that other chick from "The Apprentice" via their own "Bachelorette" style shows makes him a lover of "The Blacks."  Or maybe the fact he defended Star Jones in her war with "The View" makes him feel like WE all owe him something.  Or better yet, maybe the fact he provided the world with the entertainment that is NeNe Leakes and Lil Jon and Dionne Warwick and Latoya Jackson all in one season of "Celebrity Apprentice" gives reason for us to owe him our "friendship."

Lamar Odom's Father Is A Crack Head

The Kardashian family has always been very forthcoming with their dirty laundry and family spats, and now they have brought Lamar Odom into the fold.  During his show's series premiere last night, Lamar opened up about his hard childhood and revealed that his father was a heroin addict. 

Because Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian only had a 30-day courtship, we find out via their new reality show "Khloe and Lamar" that the couple still has A LOT to learn about each other.  And one very troubling point in Lamar's past was his childhood, which he opens up about to wife Khloe.

'I had my mother around until I was 12 years old when she passed away and after that my father wasn’t around.'

'I witnessed things that a 10-year-old definitely wasn’t supposed to see… It’s hard for me to speak up on it and get it through to Khloe because she grew up so different.'
Lamar is referring to his relationship with his father who was a heroin addict. And in true reality tv form, Lamar's father made an appearance on last night's season premiere of "Khloe & Lamar."  And while you hope he wants to start over with Lamar, he eventually turns the conversation towards money and tickets tot he Laker game, and you can see Lamar's pain. Long Story: (According to the Huffington Post):

A woman described as a prostitute was denied bail Wednesday, after authorities claimed she murdered a client on finding out he had herpes.

Ashley Nicole Steele, age 21, is accused of shooting 40-year-old Derrick Gray on February 4 of this year. The Chicago Sun-Times reports the narrative that prosecutors have pieced together of the crime: Steele had apparently arranged to meet Gray in his South Side home to have sex. The two retired to his bedroom for a few minutes, but were interrupted by a knock on the door.

Gray answered the door, while Steele and a witness stayed inside. At the door was a screaming woman, furious at Gray for having given her an STD. Steele went to investigate the commotion, but not before grabbing a handgun from a night-table and putting it in her waistband, police say.

When she was told that Gray had herpes, she went back into the house and began pacing, telling the witness that she was going to rob and kill her client. When he entered, she threatened him with the gun; he tried to flee to the bedroom, but she shot him through the door, entered the room, and shot him several more times. Authorities say she fled through the window and disposed of evidence.

The Chicago Tribune writes that Ashley's defense attorney sought some leniency from the judge, claiming that she was raised under the care of the state, had only a 10th-grade education, and suffered from bipolar disorder. Still, bail was denied in the case.

She is charged with first-degree murder, according to WGN-TV, and is set to appear in court again on April 26.

Mariah Carey reveals to Life & Style that she took a babymoon for a few days of luxurious rest and relaxation before her twins’ arrival! “A friend told me that before she had her son, she took a babymoon, which is something I’d never heard of before,” Mariah tells Life & Style. “Basically, it's an excuse to do something decadent before the babies arrive!”

And after being in her LA home exclusively for the past five months, the pregnant star needed time away! “I'm pretty sure most moms-to-be out there understand what I mean when I say that after a while of being pregnant, you start climbing the walls and just want to get out of the house,” Mariah says. “So I went to an amazing spa on the ocean with a couple of friends and, of course, Cha Cha and the puppies.”
During the retreat, she indulged in everything a mom-to-be would need, from spa treatments to decadent food and fun! “Since at this point I have to really take it easy, we played board games like Taboo and Catch Phrase, ordered spa food and got as many spa treatments as possible!” Her favorite? A foot massage! “They had a method of getting the circulation going in my feet,” Mariah says, “which slightly diminished the Sasquatch moment we’re dealing with right now. Lol!”
Mariah Carey—posing in the new issue of Life & Style—is happy to have been able to capture her final days of pregnancy. “I am so glad we took these pictures as a keepsake and a reminder of this time in my life,” she tells Life & Style. “Right now I'm counting down the days till we meet the babies.”
